Covering 705 acres, Whitewater Lake is the largest lake in the area. It provides access via a public beach and five different boat launches. The public beach is along the north end of the lake, while Natureland County Park lies at the south end of the lake.

Covering 167 acres, Rice Lake is smaller and downstream from Whitewater Lake. The Rice Lake Recreation Area provides a boat launch, dog friendly area, playground, picnic area, and various fishing and kayak launch spots. The Dr. O.R. Rice Picnic Area provides an great place to picnic, fish, or launch a kayak.
