Whitewater Tourism Council markets Whitewater area as a tourism destination. The Tourism Council will promote new and existing attractions and events by providing resources according to Council policy.
The purpose of the WWTC is as an advisory committee to assist in promoting new and existing tourism initiatives. WWTC will market WW as a tourism destination by communicating the themes of local history, culture, area attractions and events to targeted market segments.

Owner/innkeeper Hamilton House Bed and Breakfast, moved to Whitewater in 2000 fulfilling a lifelong dream of being an innkeeper. She enjoys sharing all she has come to love about the Whitewater area with the leisure and business travelers. Her passions are hospitality, great food, time well spent with family and friends, and being outside in nature. Membership in the State Lodging Association along with serving on the State Bed and Breakfast Association Board as well as The Whitewater Tourism Council provides her the opportunity to act as a liaison between guests, fellow innkeepers, and colleagues in the tourism industry.
Associate Director Recreation Sports & Facilities University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, has been a resident of Whitewater since 1991. She has been active in the community with being a member of the following groups and organizations: Downtown Whitewater Inc. Promotions Committee, UW-Whitewater/Community Optimist Club Member and Past President, Tip Off Club Board Member, Quarterback Club Board Member, UW-Whitewater Women’s Sports Foundation Board Member, and Whitewater High School Athletic Booster Club. Michelle is Recreation and Community Events Programmer for the Whitewater Parks and Recreation Department since October of 2007. Michelle is primarily responsible for oversight of contractual programs, adult volleyball, preschool programs, introductory youth sports, summer camp, and special events. Michelle has a Master’s Degree through Aurora University. Michelle interned with the Boulder Parks and Recreation Department in Colorado after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She then took a position with the Littleton Park District near Denver running before and after school programs, summer camps, and special events.
