The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a thousand-mile footpath that highlights these landscape features as it travels through some of the state’s most beautiful natural areas. Explore more than 25 miles of the Ice Age Trail on the Clover Valley Segment, Whitewater Lake Segment, Blackhawk Segment, and Blue Spring Lake Segment.

Short loop around Rice Lake Pond where one can hear frogs and birdsong, observe sunning turtles, and feel immersed in the Kettle Moraine. Connects to the Whitewater Lake Segment of the Ice Age Trail. Wildlife blind available for rest and observation.

The Nordic Trails meander through a variety of vegetation: hardwoods, pine plantations, open meadows, and kettle moraine terrain. The seven loops vary in length and degrees of difficulty - great for all levels of ability.

The rugged terrain, hills and kettle-like depressions make for some tough riding, and may not be for everyone. But for riders looking for challenging, technical riding - this is the place. During the winter, these trails are open to hikers and snowshoers. Fat-tire bikes use this trail in the winter as well.

The Stute Springs and Homestead Trail features an old farm lane that leads to the beginning of a one-mile loop trail through the former 180-acre Stute farm. From the Stute Springs Nature Trail, you can connect to the Ice Age Trail and continue your hike to The Big Hill.

The Emma Carlin Trail System goes through a hardwood forest and mostly hilly terrain. There are three color-coded trails ranging from 3.5 to 9 miles. The trails in this system are single-track mountain bike trails that are generally more difficult than the John Muir Trails

The Nature Preserve boasts over five miles of trails through a variety of ecosystems, including woodlands, wetlands, prairie, and others. Bike, hike, or walk these beautiful trails. Bringing your pup? Please keep them on a leash no longer than 6ft.

122 acre park on Whitewater Lake with 5 hiking trails through ecologically diverse terrains. A natural spring-fed creek runs throughout the park. Pavilion and grills available for picnics. Toilets on site. Bringing your pup? Please keep them on a leash no longer than 6ft. if on the trails or other dogs are present.

Take a short stroll from the Whitewater Public Beach to the Whitewater Boat Launch and enjoy beautiful views of Whitewater Lake. This trail also offers a number of native plant species to admire.
