american flagFinally, our new tourism website is up and going! If you haven’t already, take some time to look around the site. There’s a lot of great events and things to do while you’re in Whitewater! Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be blogging about different things you can do in Whitewater.

Today I’ll be starting our Wednesday series that I’m calling “Weekend Wednesday.” On Wednesdays I’ll post events, suggestions and other things you can look forward to this weekend to help you get through the rest of the week.

Since this weekend is Memorial Day, you get an extra day to hang out and relax!

Here are some things you won’t want to miss:

– Saturday, May 24th from 10 am – 6 pm: Stop by Staller Estate Winery for their 6th annual open house. There will be wine and cheese sampling plus opportunities to win great prizes! Check out their event page for more details: Be Our Guest Event

Memorial Day Parade: Monday, May 26th beginning at 10:30 am. If you’d like to participate with your organization meet by First Citizen’s Bank at 10 am. The parade will finish up at the Veteran’s Memorial Building. Additionally, VFW Post 5470 and the Knights of Columbus, Council 1690, will hold a Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 26 in Father Berry Hall at St. Patrick Church at 9 am. For more information see the Whitewater Banner or the American Legion William Graham Post 173.

If you’re not looking to head out this weekend, stock up on some picnic and grilling foods from Daniel’s Sentry!
