These eight best photo opp spots will give you life and make for amazing shots you can cherish forever.

Paradise Springs

This spot just outside Whitewater in Eagle, WI is magical in any weather with any type of light. Once the location of a resort in the late 30s to the late 40s, it now hosts ruins of the resort on a spring fed pond. Haunting. Gorgeous. Curious. The best kind of photos.

Clover Valley Rd. Barn w/ Cows

This iconic countryside spot is beloved by locals who drive by daily to head home or visit the Flowing Well, Kettle Moraine State Forest, or Whitewater Lake. The little farm is home to happy cows ready to greet you roadside. Capture them at sunrise or sunset for beautiful low sunlight behind them.

Hillside Cemetery

Hillside Cemetery rests in the heart of Whitewater and features many historic gravesites and crypts below a canopy of trees. Nestled against Cravath Lake, snapping photos at golden hour will capture beautiful light off the water and through the trees. Peaceful and reverent.

Rice Lake

This precious little lake at sunrise offers stunning photos on the dam side of the lake. In early spring and early fall, you might capture fog rising from the lake with the hazy rising sun as the backdrop. Or pull out your kayak (or rent one over at Whitewater Lake Public Beach!) and paddle around during golden hour. Print worthy photo opps. Every time.

Esterly Rd. Horses

Esterly Rd itself is quite beautiful and meandering, but once you catch sight of the horses just around the bend, you can’t help but stop your car. Photograph these beauties any time of day. Because majestic.

Whitewater Lake Ice Age Trail Segment Bridge

Start at the trailhead off Clover Valley Rd. and less than a minute through the woods emerges Whitewater Creek and wetlands with a little footbridge. Photograph this bridge any season under any light and with any weather. You will not be disappointed by its arresting beauty.

Bluff Creek

Just before hitting Bluff Creek State Natural Area, the Millis Rd. crosses Bluff Creek. Pull over and snap a photo of the creek to the right of the road. Gorgeous any season, but grab a shot at sunrise for stunning sunburst additions to your photo.

Oak Hollow Dog Park

This hidden gem catches most by surprise. Tucked in the Kettle Moraine State Forest off the scenic drive, this dog park doesn’t just end at the parking lot. Cross the street and find the little foot path down to an open area by the lake. Capture your pup with the water, particularly at sunset during the winter. It doesn’t get more secluded and natural than that.

Happy snapping! May the photograph be as rich as the memory.
