As the weather begins to get warmer, it’s time to get outside and explore what the town of Whitewater has to offer! The Whitewater Ice Age Trail Community will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, May 6 at 3:00 PM located at Cravath Lakefront. There will be light refreshments provided, guided hikes AND kids crafts! The Ice Age Trail Community didn’t stop with all the fun after the ribbon cutting though… June 2 at 8:00 AM meet at Rice Lake Boat Launch for National Trails Day! National Trails day is a supported hike where you can hike up to 5, 10, 15 or 20 miles, there even is a kids hike from 10 AM- 2 PM. But wait! There’s more, on September 29 at 9:00 AM meet at Oleson Cabin on Duffin road for National Public Lands Day. If you can’t make any of the events, don’t worry there’s still options for you. There are guided weekly hikes on Tuesdays at 4:00 PM, Wednesdays at 10:30 AM, all you have to do is meet at the Hwy 12 parking lot.
